Serum extends portfolio with infused rum

Panamanian rum brand Serum has added an expression infused with cocoa, vanilla and toffee to its portfolio.

Infused rum Sérum Mamie clocks in 40% ABV, and is a blend of Panamanian dark aged rums with cocoa, vanilla and toffee. The liquid presents aromas of chocolate and toffee, and a creamy, round palate of honey and vanilla flavours with a slight cinnamon aftertaste. Stepan Stanek, Serum’s export manager, said: “We created Mamie to be able to offer customers a smooth and enjoyable super-premium rum blend with an unmatched taste at an affordable price." The name of the rum was inspired by Mamie Kelley’s Ritz, once an acclaimed cabaret bar that opened in 1925. The brand’s rum portfolio includes seven expressions, including the latest Mamie bottling. The range includes the Elixir rum (35% ABV), a rum-based spirit drink with a honeyed and fruity nose, and flavours of almonds and peaches; the Gorgas Gran Reserva (40% ABV), which has spicy aromas of orange zest and oak; the Ancon bottling (40% ABV), which has been aged for 10 years; and limited edition rums Pente Centenario (40% ABV), Panama Season Collection Wet (40% ABV), and Dry (45% ABV). Serum will be present at ProWein from 19-21 March 2023 in the Same but Different hall (stand B53, hall 7). The brand will also present its Mintis Gin at the event. In 2020, the rum brand launched worldwide following a full redesign across its range.
