A beautifully balanced rye. Sweet cereal grains, vanilla and caramel, herbal rye spice and a kiss of mint all mingle on the nose. Robust and coating on the palate, more of the expected rye character emerges with herbal mint, peppering rye and a sweet grassy note balanced by sweet oak and corn notes. The finish dances back and forth between the sweet and savory notes until vanilla slowly overtakes the rest and carries the whiskey to the end. Just gorgeous.
