The GlenAllachie 1989 Single Cask Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

2 reviews
$599.99

After a busy first year since Billy Walker took over at the distillery, Glenallachie have released their first batch of UK-exclusive single casks, with this as one of the two oldest bottlings. It's a 1989-vintage matured whisky, bottled at 29 years old and a impressive 56.9% ABV cask strength. The cask has add rich fruit and spice, but hasn't swamped the spirit, allowing citrus and banana notes to push through a sea of chocolate and toffee.

Bottle Size: 750ml
ABV: 56.9%

A Rare Treat

This scotch is wonderful. Big on flavor and punch at 56.9% with rich sherry and warm caramel. By itself this whisky is bracing and robust but a little water opens it up into a silky and complex dram that delights the senses. This was pretty expensive for me but it made a great gift (especially when they share), however after considering the age at 29 years and after trying it, the price didn’t seem so steep.
