Aged in ex-Bourbon casks made of American white oak, this whisky is further refined in a selection of Matusalem and Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks. It boasts a natural hue and is unaltered by chill-filtration.
Each November marks a significant time at The Dalmore, as whisky experts meticulously inspect the ageing barrels within the distillery's storied sandstone cellars. Amidst the cool, dim environment, only a select few casks showcasing exceptional qualities are chosen from the year's collection. The aged spirits from these chosen barrels are then expertly blended, resulting in a unique whisky that encapsulates the essence of that particular year at The Dalmore.
This meticulously crafted and exquisitely balanced whisky, representing the pinnacle of a single year's production, is a distinguished addition to The Vintage Collection, available in limited quantities.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Layers of milk chocolate and caramel, intertwined with hints of mandarin orange and a touch of cracked black pepper.
Taste
A symphony of Manuka honey and rich cacao, complemented by notes of stewed apples and golden sultanas.
Finish
A smooth blend of vanilla cream and chocolate-infused brioche, rounded off with the zest of Navelina oranges and a subtle cinnamon spice.
