Loch Lomond The Open Special Edition 2023 Scotch Whisky

The Open Special Edition Single Malt is a limited edition release from Loch Lomond Distillery. This whisky is crafted using a unique combination of whisky from straight-neck pot stills and traditional swan-neck stills. It is then aged in American Oak casks, which contributes to its signature fruit, honey, and soft smoke style, only found in Loch Lomond Single Malt whisky.

For this special edition, a range of casks is hand-selected for finishing in Grand Reserva Rioja Alta casks to add extra depth of flavor to the whisky. These casks impart rich, exceptional red wine flavors and contribute to a whisky that has notes of red berries and orchard fruit on the nose, complemented by creamy vanilla and dark chocolate on the palate. The soft smoke lingers on the finish, making for a beautifully balanced and complex dram.
