Koshi No Shinobu 1st Newborn Single Malt Japanese Whisky 700ml

The Shinobu Distillery is located near the Japanese sea of Niigata, which is known for its soft and clear water, abundant snowfall, and strong sea breezes during the winter months. Usami Ken, the Master Distiller, has more than 30 years of experience in artisan beer methodologies, particularly in the areas of mashing and fermentation. The fermentation process takes approximately six days on average, resulting in a new make that has a clear and solid body of unparalleled aroma. The Shinobu 1st Newborn Single Malt is blended by hand with new make that has been aged in Mizunara and 1st fill bourbon casks for more than a year.

Tasting Notes:

Nose
Aromas of honey, vanilla, and coconut are complemented by subtle notes of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Palate
The taste is smooth and creamy with notes of caramel and toffee, followed by hints of oak and spice.

Finish
The finish is long and warming with a pleasant spiciness and a touch of sweetness.
