To create this limited edition of Espanita Double Barrel Reposado, our handcrafted 100% Blue Agave tequila is first rested in American Oak barrels and then undergoes extra maturation in Bourbon casks sourced from Kentucky bourbon producers. This aging process results in extra layers of complexity, richness of flavor extraordinary smoothness and one of a kind taste.
Aroma
Aromas of fragrant orange zest, apricot chutney, toasted honey oak, cherry heering and vanilla bean are joined by heady bright scents of white-peppered sweet Agave and herbaceous highlights of lemongrass and chocolate mint.
Flavor
Mélange of flavors leads with a juicy sweetness of roasted Agave, cherry cola, and spiced nuts, followed by brown sugar-sprinkled grapefruit and candied ginger with tantalizing hints of clove, allspice, and toasted oak.
Finish
The finish is smooth, nuanced, and lingering.
