Together with a carefully crafted supply chain and minimal processing in California, the finished product remains carbon-negative at the end of its production cycle. They've taken everything into account to minimize the environmental impact of their production from using the lightest, strongest bottles available to making their bottle tags out of post-consumer products and loaded with seeds of mint and thyme so you can plant them directly into your yard for cocktail garnishes. The light and clean nature of this rum mean it mixes beautifully with fresh fruit juices, tonics, and even calorie-free mixers like La Croix.
Batiste Rhum is the first rum Agricole to be imported in bulk and finished in the United States. Rhum Agricole is traditionally a product of the French Caribbean, defined by its production location and methods: its terroir. Batiste Rhum represents an evolution in this type of rum by sourcing the best rum from the French Caribbean and using California innovation to produce a light, clean, and versatile cocktail rum. Batiste sources all-natural, non-GMO and pesticide-free rum from a distillery on the tiny, remote island of Marie Galante. They use only fresh-pressed free-run sugar cane juice, not the molasses typical of most rum production. The distillery, unique in all of the Caribbean, uses solar & biomass fuel to run its operations and converts all waste into fertilizer.
